Illustrative financial-policy replay, not measured refit economics.
Unzip and run node payback-replay.mjs (Node.js 18+, no network/dependencies).
Cost1000, annual contribution5000, breakeven.001, maxpayback6 are existing measurement-adapters.test.ts test inputs. Units are illustrative and shared, not real currency quotes. The measurement is the previously exported synthetic fixture, not customer evidence. Native source hashes are in payback.json.
The financial input admission function is the transpiled native decision-input.ts, not a divergent public gate. The public arithmetic compares its result with the native decide output. Unknown/invalid inputs withhold output; explicit cost0 remains legitimate and does not fabricate percentage ROI.
Contribution is assumed independently of sales lift, not estimated or annualised here. No whole-world implementation is distributed. No cashflow schedule, ramp-up, downtime, discounting, tax, financing, working capital, residual value or cost/contribution uncertainty is validated. Simple payback is not NPV. No real investment or ranking recommendation follows.
